Freshman (Class of 2022) iPad Exchange Process

In the spring of 2019, all Class of 2022 leased iPads will be collected and returned to Apple. Class of 2022 students will receive a newly leased iPad to use until the conclusion of their senior year. Students will be emailed a notice to setup an appointment to exchange iPads. Appointments will be available between April 1 and May 17, 2019

Backing Up the iPad

Students must back up important photos, videos and projects to Google Drive/Google Photos before returning the device. Use the Google Photos App available in Self Service for easy backup. Any help with this process should be addressed before time of appointment.

Students must bring the following to the iPad Exchange appointment.

    • School issued iPad ($259 if not returned)

    • Apple Power Adapter for iPad ($20 if not returned)

    • Apple Charging Cable ($10 if not returned)

    • Acceptable Use Agreement signed by Student and Parent/Guardian

Insurance For Newly Issued iPad

Insurance for the new iPads will be available for purchase beginning April 1. It is highly recommended that each student to obtain insurance. Insurance can be purchased for all three years (recommended) or on an annual basis. Parents will receive an email reminder to purchase insurance. Anyone enrolling in insurance after April 1, 2019 will be allowed only one claim per school year.

Damaged and Missing Equipment

Damaged iPads and Missing Equipment

If a student iPad has been damaged, the repair must be settled prior to the appointment. Repairs normally take two weeks. Students are responsible for the replacement cost for missing equipment. The iPad will be considered missing if no appointment has been scheduled by May 17. The student will then be responsible for the full replacement cost of the iPad and accessories ($259).

  • iPad Air 2—Glass/Digitizer/LCD Repair: $219

Lost/Not Returned Equipment

  • iPad Air2: $259

  • Apple charging cable: $10

  • Apple power adapter: $20

ExcessiveDamage (insured or non-insured)

  • Gouged/Dented/Bent/Separated Enclosure and/or Gouged Glass: $65
